The Burn Foundation is a Philadelphia-based, non-profit organization established in 1973 to educate families, emergency workers, and the medical community about burn prevention and care while providing burn survivors and their families with support and recovery assistance.

The foundation supports the Greater Delaware Valley's four major burn treatment centers: Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Lehigh Valley Hospital, St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, and Temple University Hospital.

Mission

The mission of the Burn Foundation is to serve the greater Philadelphia region in the prevention of burns, in the support of the burn care community, and in enhancing the quality of life for burn survivors and their families.

Hot Issue

"Fire and Burn Prevention for Seniors" The Burn Foundation launches an exciting new prevention program for senior adults. Using a new BurnSafe DVD and an entertaining fire and burn prevention bingo game, seniors learn safe cooking practices, burn first aid, smoking precautions, scald prevention and fire safety throughout the home. This program has been delivered to over 300 seniors in the region with very positive outcomes.
