Young children from newborn to age five years old are burned three times more often than other age groups in our population. Parents and caregivers are usually present when most of the burn injuries occur. Our publication, Safety Lines Newsletter for parents addresses various burn-safety issues related to children and families. It is designed to increase awareness of particular hazards and to offer safety tips and suggestions for eliminating or reducing these hazards. New publications are mailed to centers four times a year.
