This resource library addresses two of the major areas of burn which are prevention and treatment. Prevention is so important and often overlooked. It is vital that a family be proactive in preventing their family from harm. This resource provides excellent materials that will allow you to keep your loved ones safe. Burn first aid is an invaluable resource to know and understand because the first few moments after a burn injury are extremely critical. The treatment section of this resource library describes first aid, severity of burns and when you should contact a physician.
"Fire and Burn Prevention for Seniors" The Burn Foundation continues to present our exciting prevention program for senior adults. Using a BurnSafe DVD and an entertaining fire and burn prevention bingo game, seniors learn safe cooking practices, burn first aid, smoking precautions, scald prevention and fire safety throughout the home. This program has been delivered to over 3000 seniors in the region with very positive outcomes.
