Support the Burn Foundation

The Burn Foundation relies on a network of individuals, fire departments, corporate philanthropy, government and private grants to provide critical fire and burn prevention programs and education, treatment and recovery to communities and families in Southeastrn Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey and the State of Delaware. Providing face-to-face fire safety education to our community is the most effective delivery method, but it is also very costly. We need your support.

Because of your generosity, we are able to continue our work, including:

  • Comprehensive prevention programs for various targeted at-risk populations, such as, families with young children, school-aged children or senior citizens.
  • Burn care training for student nurses through our coalition nurses. Over 12,000 student nurses have completed training developed and taught by the Burn Foundation’s Nurses Advisory Council.
  • Distribution of Early Care and Transfer of Burn Patients, a guide written by burn center nurses, to more than 170 tri-state area emergency rooms and the regions’ EMS personnel. This is an essential tool for workers encountering burn injury patients to ensure their proper care with current methods and transfer to burn units.
  • Programs such as the Anapol Schwartz Family Mentorship Program that support burn survivors and their families.
  • Burn camp scholarships to children who have suffered a burn injury.
  • Pressure garments to underinsured patients.
  • Financial support to four regional burn centers including Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Lehigh Valley Hospital, St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and Temple University Hospital. In the last 5 years, more than $1.8 million has helped these facilities to purchase equipment and enhance patient care.
  • Burn Buddies for pediatric burn patients

Your donation to the Burn Foundation can:

  • Expand our vital prevention education programs
  • Sponsor a child for burn camp.
  • Educate more student nurses
  • Assist area firefighters in their educational efforts.
  • Encourage burn survivors
  • Defray the costs of necessary pressure garments
  • Donate a Burn Buddy for a child
Thank you for your interest and support.
